Role overview
Flourish Research is hiring a Clinical Research Coordinator for its Jacksonville, Florida site. This is an onsite, Monday-to-Friday role during standard working hours. The position is classified as non-exempt and pays between $27.00 and $36.00 per hour, depending on experience.
What you'll do
- Carry out patient visits and protocol-required procedures, which may include phlebotomy, IV placement, injections, vital sign checks, ECG/EKGs, and similar tasks.
- Record assessments and study data in line with regulations and GCP, keep source documentation complete, and accurately complete CRFs/eCRFs.
- Obtain informed consent in compliance with federal rules, GCP, and IRB requirements.
- Recruit eligible participants in an ethical manner to help meet enrollment goals and timelines.
- Complete mandatory and ongoing training, attend investigator meetings and courses, and stay up to date with changing regulations and company policies.
- Plan and conduct study visits according to protocol schedules.
- Protect confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and all applicable confidentiality agreements.
- Report adverse events promptly and notify the sponsor of serious adverse events within 24 hours, while also informing the PI, sub-investigator, and supervisor.
- Track study supplies and ensure the availability of materials such as investigational product, lab items, CRFs, and other study supplies.
- Keep clear communication with leads, managers, investigators, and the broader study team in line with protocol and policy.
- Work safely and efficiently while following Flourish Research procedures and cost/time expectations.
- Represent the organization professionally in all interactions.
- Take on other duties as assigned by management.
Required background and skills
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, though it is not mandatory.
- Previous oncology clinical research experience is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in clinical research is required.
- Hands-on clinical abilities such as taking vital signs, performing ECG/EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections are strongly preferred.
- Experience using an electronic e-source reporting platform is expected.
- Strong knowledge of ICH, FDA, and GCP regulations is required.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are needed to work with investigators, sponsors/CROs, potential participants, and referral sources.
- The ideal candidate should act with integrity, work independently, and remain detail-focused.
- Strong critical thinking ability is important.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory collection, processing, and storage procedures is required.
- Comfort using computers and Microsoft Office Suite is needed.
Compensation and benefits
Pay is offered at $27.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience.
