Role overview
This full-time onsite position supports the North Miami, Florida site. The schedule is Monday through Friday during standard business hours. The role is classified as non-exempt, and compensation is listed at $20 to $25 per hour.
What you'll do
The Research Assistant will help clinical research coordinators and site staff carry out protocol-driven patient visits, documentation, and operational tasks. The position also involves participant support, study coordination, and maintaining compliance with research standards.
- Assist with patient visits and procedures required by study protocols, such as phlebotomy, IV placement, injections, vital signs, and ECG/EKG support.
- Record study data and assessments in line with regulatory and Good Clinical Practice expectations.
- Obtain informed consent and document it according to federal rules and IRB requirements.
- Support recruitment activities and scheduling efforts to help the site meet enrollment targets.
- Keep source records accurate and complete case report forms.
- Escalate adverse events to supervisors or investigators when needed.
- Track study supplies, lab kits, and other trial materials.
- Protect confidentiality and follow ethical and compliance standards at all times.
- Coordinate clearly with research team members and document study-related communication.
- Represent the organization professionally in every interaction.
- Take on other duties assigned by management.
Work conditions and physical demands
The role may require flexible hours to accommodate clinical schedules and site leadership needs. Daily computer use is expected, along with the ability to sit or stand at a computer for extended periods. Candidates should also be able to drive and have daily access to a vehicle.
