Role Overview

This position is tailored for senior-level engineers with in-depth component-specific knowledge who can pinpoint engineering enhancements and cost-saving prospects across the entire product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering specs to detect instances of over-engineering.
• Critically examine engineering premises, testing schedules, and certification processes.
• Determine feasibility of proposed engineering adjustments.
• Contribute to Design-to-Value and module-centric engineering workshops.
• Spot technical avenues for cost reduction.
• Assist with quantifying opportunities and conducting cost analyses.
• Convert technical insights into practical recommendations that reduce expenses.
• Engage in technical workshops with client engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, engineering departments, and procurement teams.
• Offer expert guidance from concept phase through validation, industrialization, and Start of Production.

Qualifications

• 10 to 20 years of direct experience in automotive engineering.
• Previous roles such as Engineering Manager, Team Lead, Module or Component Owner, or Senior Technical Specialist.
• Experience with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Tier-1 supplier.
• Specialized knowledge of one or multiple automotive components or modules.
• Hands-on involvement with the entire product lifecycle stages, including concept, validation, industrialization, and SOP.
• Proven collaboration with suppliers and cross-disciplinary engineering and procurement teams.
• Comfortable working in client-focused technical workshop settings.
