About the Role
Tesla is recruiting a motivated and engaging Collision Field Operations Training Instructor to be part of the Collision Learning & Development team. This role involves delivering comprehensive training programs for Collision Estimators, Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), and other team members to ensure effective onboarding and ongoing support. You will play a key role in training initiatives for new site launches and overall operational excellence within the Collision Center located in North Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, instructor-led sessions covering both customer-facing and backend collision operations, including software system usage.
- Train and develop CSRs and Estimators on vehicle intake procedures and repair workflow management.
- Assist with planning class schedules, coordinating site visits, and providing virtual training support.
- Ensure training programs align with Tesla's goals, are properly developed, communicated, and implemented.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, organize tasks, and deliver on project timelines.
- Operate various hand, power, and workshop tools safely and proficiently.
- Work autonomously under limited supervision while adhering to Tesla's safety standards and policies.
- Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years of experience in the collision industry, with previous involvement in training preferred.
- Preferred vocational certification in Collision Repair.
- Hands-on familiarity with both front-end and back-end collision operations including estimating software, production control systems, and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and exemplary integrity in the role of a Collision Repair Program Trainer.
- Willingness to travel extensively, including domestically and internationally, approximately 60% of the time based on organizational needs.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate a forklift safely.
