About the Role
We are collaborating with a fast-growing logistics company providing multiple services to recruit a Group Commercial & Operations Manager. This is an executive-level position responsible for steering operational excellence, boosting commercial success, and leading strategic expansion across several business units such as warehousing, fulfilment, and transportation.
As a vital member of the executive leadership team, you will enhance operational processes, guide teams, deploy new technologies, and ensure the business scales efficiently while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to setting business strategy and planning operations.
- Partner with executive leaders to achieve company goals.
- Lead operational improvement projects across the organization.
- Promote company principles and drive high performance.
- Oversee and coordinate teams in various service divisions.
- Track performance metrics, productivity, and quality standards.
- Continuously improve workflows and systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate commercial agreements and service level agreements.
- Identify and integrate new technologies to optimize operations.
- Oversee budget management and financial results for operations.
- Analyze operational data to uncover profit enhancing opportunities.
- Control inventory and plan resources efficiently.
- Build strong partnerships with customers and suppliers.
- Lead, mentor, and develop managerial and team members.
- Identify talent gaps and implement hiring and training strategies.
- Promote cross-department collaboration and a culture of high achievement.
- Enhance support functions including IT, HR, and Finance for greater efficiency.
- Ensure clear communication throughout the organization.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Assist sales initiatives to help grow the business commercially.
- Supervise customer service and account management teams.
- Guarantee a superior customer experience across all service areas.
