About Old Schoolhouse Brewery

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate brewer dedicated to quality, consistency, and ongoing learning. This role offers the chance to join an intimate, cooperative brewing team to help create nationally acclaimed craft beers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct all daily beer production activities including brewing, cellar operations, packaging, sanitation, quality control, and equipment upkeep.
  • Work collaboratively with the brewing team and Owner/Brewmaster to gain hands-on experience throughout all stages of commercial brewing.
  • Take substantial responsibility for brewed beer quality and participate in pilots and recipe innovation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized brewery environment.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in a commercial brewery or equivalent production setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial brewing procedures and sanitation protocols.
  • Ability to precisely execute recipes and standard operating procedures.
  • Mechanical skills and aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Strong work ethic, a positive outlook, and physical ability to lift over 55 pounds repeatedly.
  • Comfort with working in conditions that are hot, cold, wet, and physically demanding.
  • Forklift operation experience or willingness to obtain certification.
