Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time position working daytime shifts located at 3000 Medical Park Dr, Tampa, Florida, 33613.

Role Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage medical record requests ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with end-of-day closing procedures
  • Welcome and direct patients promptly and warmly
  • Apply thorough understanding of department policies and procedures to support patient needs
  • Answer incoming calls courteously, document interactions appropriately
  • Respond professionally to patient inquiries without delay
  • Collect necessary documentation such as insurance cards and photo IDs for patient encounters
  • Schedule and confirm appointments ahead of time to minimize no-shows
  • Retrieve and distribute relevant medical records and patient information accurately within the AMR system
  • Obtain insurance authorizations and verify coverage prior to appointments, informing patients of their status
  • Collect payments including copays, deductibles, prior balances, coinsurance, and self-pay amounts at service time following departmental policies
  • Set up patient payment plans as required
  • Process patient referrals accurately and promptly

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: At least one year of related work experience
