Logistics Coordinator – Construction & Contracting

Job Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to oversee and streamline all logistics operations related to construction projects. This role involves ensuring the punctual delivery of materials, equipment, labor, and site necessities to facilitate seamless project execution while adhering to organizational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate logistics for projects, including scheduling material deliveries, arranging transportation, moving equipment, and managing site access logistics.
• Oversee the distribution and tracking of construction supplies, tools, and machinery among suppliers, storage facilities, and active sites.
• Liaise effectively with procurement teams, project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site supervisors to guarantee materials are available when needed.
• Track delivery timelines and troubleshoot logistics challenges that may hinder project advancement.
• Maintain detailed logs of shipments, inventory flows, and logistics documents.
• Assist site teams with mobilizing manpower, allocating equipment, and organizing transportation.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and site-specific guidelines.
• Compile and present logistics reports, maintain tracking documents, and provide updates to management.
• Collaborate with governmental agencies and consultants to secure site access permits and delivery approvals as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 3 and 7 years of relevant experience coordinating logistics in the construction or contracting sectors.
• Familiarity with large-scale building, infrastructure, or MEP projects is highly desirable.
• Comprehensive understanding of construction materials, on-site operations, and project logistics workflows.
• Proven experience working alongside suppliers, subcontractors, and logistics transport providers.
• Strong organizational prowess, excellent communication abilities, and effective problem resolution skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiar with logistics or project management tracking software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience within the UAE construction industry.
• Background working on high-rise buildings, infrastructure projects, or substantial contracting ventures.
• Knowledge of UAE-specific site logistics rules and documentation requirements.
