Electrical Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to supervise and manage electrical tasks related to landscaping, infrastructure, and contracting endeavors throughout Abu Dhabi. This role involves ensuring that all electrical works meet project specifications, TAQA standards, quality benchmarks, and schedule timelines, while collaborating closely with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site electrical works ensuring adherence to project plans, drawings, and regulations.
• Analyze and validate electrical drawings, technical specs, and shop drawings prior to execution.
• Conduct electrical load calculations and confirm system designs align with project needs.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams for seamless project delivery.
• Guarantee compliance with TAQA standards and Abu Dhabi’s regulatory electrical requirements.
• Monitor construction activities to detect technical challenges and provide feasible engineering solutions.
• Inspect completed electrical installations to certify quality standards before project handover.
• Prepare procurement requests, technical submissions, method statements, and progress documentation.
• Coordinate the testing, commissioning, and final inspections of electrical installations.
• Maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) guidelines to ensure a safe worksite.
• Track project progression and assist in achieving on-time and on-budget completion.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registration as a professional engineer or equivalent certifications is advantageous.
• Have at least 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience in the Abu Dhabi area.
• Demonstrated background in contracting, landscaping, infrastructure, and site-based electrical projects.
• Experience coordinating with utility authorities and acquiring consultant approvals within Abu Dhabi preferred.

Expertise and Technical Skills

• Deep understanding of electrical power distribution systems.
• Competence in performing electrical load calculations and designing systems.
• Skill in interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• Strong project coordination and on-site supervisory abilities.
• Familiarity with TAQA standards and Abu Dhabi electrical regulations.
• Experience conducting testing and commissioning of electrical setups.
• Proficiency in material planning and preparing technical documents.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capacity.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; knowledge of project management software is a plus.
