Role Overview
Ventia seeks a skilled Storeperson to join the Venture Smart team located at the Main Roads Depot in Jandakot, WA. Reporting to the Store Supervisor, you will support efficient store operations to enable field teams to execute their duties safely and effectively. This role demands reliability, strong organizational skills, motivation, and a vigilant attitude toward safety. You will work independently and collaboratively, emphasizing careful handling, accurate storage, and dispatching of inventory.
Work Schedule and Compensation
This full-time permanent role follows a shift roster from Monday to Friday with two alternating shifts: 6:00am - 3:30pm and 7:00am - 2:30pm. The remuneration ranges between $38.39 and $40.31 per hour plus superannuation, with potential overtime opportunities contingent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficient and precise processing of stock requests, transfers, returns, and monitoring inventory levels.
- Tracking and documenting materials for warranty returns.
- Operating high reach forklifts to load, deliver, and relocate parts between warehouses.
- Overseeing the physical movement of stock using forklifts while maintaining excellent warehousing and housekeeping standards.
- Engaging in scheduled stocktakes.
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries with ongoing inventory upkeep.
- Maintaining yard laydown areas with proper stock staging and practicing waste segregation and disposal.
Required Skills and Experience
- Possession of a High Risk Work License – LF (Forklift).
- Operating experience with both Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts.
- Holding a Western Australia (WA) Driver's License, ideally MR class.
- Past roles involving quality assurance, logistics coordination, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with SAP or comparable inventory management systems is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
