Role overview
U-Haul is looking for a Facility Housekeeper to help keep the storage property clean, organized, and welcoming for customers. This role is ideal for someone who pays attention to details, works proactively, and enjoys contributing to a supportive team environment. New hires can begin immediately and are eligible for a bonus.
What you will do
- Keep storage units and shared areas clean by sweeping, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, and mopping as needed.
- Clean restrooms, hallways, elevators, and other common spaces.
- Remove and dispose of trash properly.
- Monitor cleaning supplies, maintain inventory, and request replenishments when necessary.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned.
Minimum qualifications
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Work environment
This position may involve moderate safety risks or discomforts. You may work near moving equipment or machinery, fumes, or irritating chemicals, and may need to use protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical requirements
The job can require extended periods of standing or remaining in one place, moving around outdoors, reaching items at different heights, and handling equipment that may weigh at least 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
