About Cheeverstown House
Cheeverstown House is a voluntary organization regulated by the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA), committed to enabling adults with intellectual disabilities to lead full and meaningful lives. The organization offers diverse person-centred services, such as residential, respite, and day care, supporting nearly 400 adults in South Dublin and Kildare.
Role Overview
We are currently looking for a Staff Nurse based in Kill, County Kildare. The successful candidate will provide person-centred care and support to individuals in their homes, aiding them in developing fulfilling and independent lives within their communities.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Level 8 qualification in Nursing, preferably RNID Division
- Registered membership with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism
- Proven ability to work independently as a lone worker
- Possession of a full, clean driving licence
- Approach characterized by calmness, patience, and consistency
- Strong communication competencies
Additional Information
This position requires a compassionate and dependable individual who upholds dignity, respect, and meaningful participation in community activities. The induction week is tentatively scheduled to begin on 14th September. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory references, Garda Vetting, completion of both online and onsite mandatory training, and a pre-employment medical exam.
Salary will align with the Care Assistant grade according to HSE Consolidated Salary Scales and will vary based on qualifications and experience. Cheeverstown is committed to equal opportunity employment.
