Role Impact
As a Software Developer at D2L who graduates in 2025, you will contribute to technological advancements that transform teaching and learning globally. You will work with diverse technologies including distributed systems, automated testing, user interfaces, mobile platforms, and cloud computing. Collaboration with product managers, designers, and test developers is essential, bringing your unique ideas to guide effective product development.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Analyze complex problems and break them down to feasible technical solutions.
- Develop software utilizing object-oriented design principles with proficiency in languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
- Apply strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, databases, and distributed systems.
- Engage in software development practices within a technology-focused environment.
- Leverage Artificial Intelligence tools to enhance software capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, completing in 2025.
- Practical experience in software development, showcasing coding skills and understanding of foundational computer science topics.
Work Arrangements
D2L practices hybrid work with an expectation of three days per week onsite at the Kitchener, Ontario office.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected base salary for this position ranges from 75000 to 85000 CAD annually, based on the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
