Overview

Join Snoonu, Qatar's innovative Super App, as a Senior Backend Engineer focused on .NET Core development. You'll play a vital role in building scalable backend services that power delivery, ride-hailing, and shopping functionalities, collaborating with a diverse global team in a fully remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Create robust backend services utilizing .NET Core 8, ensuring seamless integration with other system components.
Enhance database performance by optimizing queries and designing efficient data models across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
Engage in system architecture discussions to propose improvements for scalability and maintainability.
Perform thorough code reviews to uphold coding standards and mentor team members.
Refactor existing codebases to boost performance and readability.
Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high test coverage and platform reliability.
Identify and resolve complex issues in both production and development environments.
Document system designs, technical decisions, and workflows to facilitate team knowledge sharing.
Participate actively in production releases, ensuring system stability post-deployment.

Qualifications and Experience

At least 7 years of backend development experience, including 5 years specializing in .NET Core.
Strong expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and gRPC services emphasizing scalability and maintainability.
Proficient with relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) databases.
Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and knowledge of asynchronous and distributed system architectures.
Solid understanding of software design patterns such as Singleton, Factory, and Strategy, with demonstrated ability to refactor and optimize code.
Skilled in writing and executing unit, integration, and performance tests to ensure software robustness.

Additional Assets

Expertise in identifying and resolving complex performance bottlenecks including memory leaks using profiling tools.
Proven ability to lead large-scale projects aligning technical solutions with business goals.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and facilitating team development.
Familiarity with load testing and performance optimization techniques.
Active contributor to technical discussions offering innovative solutions.
Experience using diagramming software like Miro for system designing.
