Overview
Join Baker Hughes, a global leader in energy technology, to lead the document management efforts for significant subsea engineering projects. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate technical documentation handling—including storage, review, approval, and distribution—across multiple large subsea projects.
- Serve as the primary client interface for document control activities on assigned projects.
- Manage and supervise global document control teams ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Identify and implement client-specific document control contractual requirements via tailored Document Management Plans.
- Administer the Master Document Register within Electronic Document Management Systems throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare and distribute document control reports and metrics internally to stakeholders and externally to clients.
- Ensure timely delivery of all technical documentation while adhering to company-wide standards.
- Monitor adherence to global SP&S standards for document control in project execution.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, escalate issues to leadership, and assist in implementing enhancements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least five years’ experience in document control roles, preferably in senior or lead positions.
- Proficiency in Electronic Document Management Systems and familiarity with multiple document management platforms.
- Experience coordinating document control in large engineering projects, ideally within oil and gas or equivalent industrial sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, including client presentations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary project workflows with attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities suited for matrix organizational environments and a proactive work approach.
- High energy level, initiative-driven, and capable of prioritizing under demanding conditions.
