Role Summary
The Product Operations Manager acts as a vital liaison across teams, using data analytics to represent member and customer support perspectives. Primarily focused on Business Platform products such as checkout, payments, billing, user management, help centers, and chat assistants, the role is committed to enhancing product quality and usability through cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, operations, marketing, design, and engineering teams to influence product strategy and prioritize features based on metrics like issue impact, revenue, and user experience insights.
- Analyze member issues through internal tools, AI, and data queries (e.g., SQL) to guide roadmap decisions and measure post-launch outcomes.
- Work closely with product and design teams to incorporate operational perspectives into product development and preemptively address user experience challenges.
- Coordinate with content writers to develop help center materials addressing frequent member questions.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of product domains and operations within your scope.
- Communicate upcoming product features and changes clearly to key stakeholders with regular reporting and executive briefings.
- Lead or contribute to programs aimed at improving product quality, health, and internal processes.
- Innovate new analytical methods to detect and measure user friction.
- Travel occasionally to LinkedIn offices for training, process reviews, and member insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in product operations, consulting, program or project management, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of proficiency with SQL or similar data analytics languages.
Preferred Experience
- Utilizing AI-based coding tools for advanced analytics and automation within operations.
- Working knowledge of enterprise software environments.
- Proven ability to manage complex global, cross-functional projects.
- Comfort operating independently in ambiguous settings with a strong results-driven approach.
- Data-driven influencer capable of identifying trends and shaping product priorities.
- Experience with voice-of-customer roles and CRM systems like Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to uncover business insights.
- Competence in prioritizing projects based on impact assessment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in storytelling with data.
- Strong skills in organization, attention to detail, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and adaptability with a growth mindset.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $109,000 to $176,000 annually, with actual packages based on candidate experience, skills, location, and other factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses, stock options, and benefits.
