Job Overview

This role focuses on the practical daily execution of road maintenance activities within the project. It involves both regular duties and emergency response tasks outside standard office hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Executing routine upkeep tasks such as landscaping and grass cutting.
• Cleaning road furniture and managing traffic during works.
• Conducting routine inspections and patrols of the road network.
• Responding promptly to incidents and carrying out winter maintenance works.
• Collecting litter and performing general maintenance operations.
• Repairing fencing and small-scale civil tasks including concrete and ducting repairs.
• Maintaining accurate work records and completing required training.
• Undertaking all maintenance duties as delegated by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Secondary education completion is required.
• Possession of a current Safe Pass certificate.
• Up-to-date certifications in traffic management, a valid Class C driving license, and CSCS tickets for excavator and telescopic handler operation.
• Prior relevant experience in construction or maintenance roles.
• Hands-on expertise in at least some of the specified routine maintenance activities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety standards and commitment to their implementation.
• Experience in road construction or maintenance including familiarity with associated tools, materials, and equipment.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proficient in written and verbal English communication.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and related applications to log completed work.
• Self-driven, enthusiastic, adaptable, and open to learning new skills.
• Strong interpersonal capabilities.

Additional Requirements

• Available to provide 24/7 on-call emergency coverage on a rotational basis.
• Prepared to work irregular hours including night shifts as needed.
• Must have personal transportation to meet on-call obligations.
