Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage electrical projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary limits.
  • Critically review and provide feedback on reports and electrical design outputs.
  • Define project scopes and cost estimates, delegating tasks to appropriate teams.
  • Review and verify completion certificates to finalize projects.
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with IEC, IEEE, and relevant national electrical standards.
  • Prepare industry-compliant contract documentation and technical specifications.
  • Oversee design work created by junior/intermediate engineers, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Coordinate collaboratively with cross-functional design team members to meet project requirements.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for all project designs and documentation.
  • Control project costs through accurate estimating and budget management to optimize client value.
  • Compile detailed project reports to deliver timely and factual information.
  • Conduct conceptual design analyses and produce reports to guide project decision-making.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, supporting skill enhancement and professional growth.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively progressing towards chartership.
  • Expert technical knowledge of applicable industry regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary design teams effectively.
  • History of delivering projects within scope, timeframes, and budgets.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software and related technologies.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, eager to embrace new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Maximo software system.
  • Project Management Diploma or Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • ATEX certification and relevant experience.
  • Certified Energy Manager credential or energy sector experience.
  • Experience working on water and wastewater treatment facility projects.
