About the Role and Company
Airswift, a global workforce solutions provider specializing in the energy, process, and infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Lifting Lead for an offshore Oil & Gas project in Qatar. With over 1,000 employees and a vast contractor network in more than 70 countries, Airswift is dedicated to aligning talent with the specific needs of its clients.
Role Purpose
- Serve as the primary contact for reviewing, approving, and executing project lifting activities, offering technical expertise to support the project team.
- Develop and implement thorough assurance processes within the lifting discipline to ensure adherence to company standards and identify areas needing improvement.
- Contribute to the evaluation and updating of lifting standards and best practices to maintain industry excellence.
- Engage in high-potential lifting incident investigations, facilitating timely mitigation implementation and closure of action items.
- Collaborate actively with the Operations Lifting Department, particularly for brownfield project scopes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering.
- Certification as an OPITO LOLER Competent Person.
- At least eight years of experience in large construction projects within the Oil & Gas sector covering areas such as construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, and hook-up.
- A minimum of one year supervisory or acting oversight experience including management of service or vendor personnel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of lifting equipment inspections, certifications, and verifications, along with a broad understanding of lifting operations management.
- Familiarity with international standards including API, ASME, BS, DNV, ISO, and LOLER, plus experience ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Advantageous to have knowledge of operating standards and procedures.
- Experience setting up and managing compliance and assurance processes in line with corporate protocols and international lifting standards.
- Preferably experience as a Subject Matter Expert or Technical Authority in lifting operations within Oil & Gas operators.
