Role overview
We are seeking a junior IT Support Officer to join the team on a full-time basis. This position is suited to someone who is technically curious, keen to learn, and interested in starting a career in information technology while supporting day-to-day users and systems.
What you will do
- Handle incoming IT support requests and provide prompt assistance to staff members.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Support the setup and configuration of computers, printers, and other IT devices.
- Assist with user access, account administration, and related permission requests.
- Carry out software upgrades and routine system maintenance tasks.
- Record incidents, resolutions, and IT inventory details accurately.
- Escalate more complicated technical problems to senior IT personnel when necessary.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a foundational grasp of computer systems, operating systems, networking basics, and standard business software. Experience with Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365, remote troubleshooting tools, and help desk ticketing platforms is helpful. Clear communication, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a strong eye for detail are important for success in this role.
