Overview
DeMontfort Fine Art is seeking a skilled HR Advisor to join their People Team in Lichfield HQ. Reporting to the Retail People Partner, this permanent full-time role supports a diverse network of 90 galleries in the UK and internationally, focusing on employee relations and general HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver straightforward, people-centered guidance to managers on matters related to employee relations including performance management, absence, conduct, grievances, and policy issues, with support from the Retail People Partner.
- Handle employee relations cases such as disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence, assisting managers throughout the process and ensuring all documentation is precise and compliant.
- Facilitate investigations and formal meetings by preparing necessary paperwork, arranging meetings, and taking minutes when required.
- Provide support across the employee lifecycle including probation reviews, family-friendly policies, and flexible working arrangements.
- Contribute to HR projects like engagement initiatives, organizational change, and updates to policies.
- Maintain accurate HR records while ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Assist in analyzing HR data and identifying trends, like absence rates and employee relations cases, to uncover areas for improvement.
- Support annual processes such as pay reviews and reward programs by promoting consistency and clear communication.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role such as HR Advisor or HR Officer.
- Comfortable managing employee relations cases independently.
- Possession of CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Approachable and practical with strong relationship-building skills for working with managers.
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Effective and calm communicator who can clearly explain HR procedures.
- Thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
- Holds a full UK driving licence and is willing to travel to support gallery locations.
