Role overview
Iceland Foods is recruiting a Home Delivery Driver for its Bishops Wood location. The job pays £13.71 per hour and is suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting with customers.
As a driver, you will represent the business on the road and at the customer’s door, making sure orders are delivered reliably and in good condition. The company highlights its long-standing focus on customers and team members, and this role is part of that commitment.
What you will do
- Load the van safely and follow correct manual-handling and heavy-lifting procedures.
- Drive with care and follow all safe driving practices.
- Carry out vehicle checks before and during shifts.
- Make sure groceries reach customers in the best possible condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service during every drop-off.
- Support the store team when extra help is needed.
- Work on your own, while managing time effectively and staying organised.
- Be flexible for shift work, with working patterns that may fall anywhere between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
What you need to apply
- A full driving licence that has been held for at least 3 years.
- No more than 6 points on your licence.
- A positive, approachable attitude and genuine interest in good customer service.
- Good punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong awareness of road safety at all times.
