Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Handyworker to join Royal York Property Management based in Hamilton, Ontario, and nearby areas. This role involves handling a broad range of maintenance and property management duties to ensure smooth operations and high service quality. The candidate will manage maintenance tasks, attend service requests, and carry out effective handywork, thriving in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities as well as manage work orders efficiently.
- Conduct initial inspections, document with photographs, and upload details associated with work orders.
- Deliver and install specific items such as fire extinguishers, lock boxes, and real estate signage designated by Royal York Property Management.
- Create new work orders whenever necessary and provide thorough evaluations for the maintenance team.
- Execute additional maintenance duties including key duplication, installing door closers, changing locks, mounting televisions, and other related tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a High School diploma or equivalent credential.
- Minimum of five years' practical experience in a maintenance or handywork capacity.
- Valid driving license coupled with reliable access to a vehicle that can support transporting materials such as 4' x 4' plywood.
- Proficiency in handling various hardware tools and power equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and property owners.
- Capability to function well independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Must own an iPhone to facilitate job-related communication and coordination.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
Compensation and Benefits
