Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated Engineering Manager to lead the new Communications Capture team within our Dublin R&D center. This team is responsible for developing the fundamental data pipelines that capture customer interactions from various external communication platforms such as email, calendars, calls, and texts. These pipelines support Gong's extensive product suite and thousands of customers, playing a critical role in user engagement and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of backend and frontend engineers.
• Oversee engineering projects from inception through delivery, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to define and balance the product roadmap and engineering priorities.
• Drive continuous improvement in the team's products and infrastructure through exemplary leadership.
• Architect scalable long-term technical solutions with a substantial impact on platform and customers.
• Mentor, coach, hire, and develop team members to maximize their potential.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in leading and growing engineering teams.
• Strong background as a senior software engineer.
• Technical expertise in scalable, cloud-based web applications.
• Knowledge of Java and associated frameworks is beneficial.
• Experience with customer-facing products is a plus.
• Degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• Proven skills in project management and team leadership.
• A passion for motivating and developing people.
