Job Overview

This role involves overseeing all facets of environmental, health, and safety compliance including training, regulatory submissions, permitting, and maintaining comprehensive EHS policies, programs, and procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports such as Sara Title III Tier II, EPA Toxic Release Inventory, Department of Homeland Security CSAT/CFAT, Hazardous Materials Business Plan, OSHA 300 log, spill response, hazardous waste reporting, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations (49 CFR DOT, 40 CFR EPA, 29 CFR OSHA, 21 USC DEA, Arizona Revised Statutes, ADOSH, and local ordinances).
  • Develop and maintain internal and external EHS compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Recommend compliance procedures for DOT hazardous materials transport regulations and other relevant federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Provide health and safety training tailored to specific tasks as required.
  • Perform internal EHS compliance audits across all company locations.
  • Conduct chemical and process hazard evaluations to determine appropriate administrative and engineering controls and personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT Motor Carrier Registration and Commercial Vehicle Requirements.
  • Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and undertake duties as directed by senior corporate compliance and operations executives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience or equivalent education and work combination.
  • Thorough knowledge of environmental, health, and safety laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Experience designing and delivering effective EHS employee training programs.
  • Ability to operate both independently and collaboratively within a team context.
  • Strong communication and collaboration capabilities across departments.
