Disability Support Worker - Ivanhoe Area

About the Role

Join our team as a Disability Support Worker serving the Greater Melbourne area near Ivanhoe. This role involves assisting elderly clients in maintaining their safety, independence, and community connections while residing in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Offering companionship, social support, and opportunities for meaningful engagement
• Helping clients with transportation, shopping errands, and recreational outings
• Providing dignified personal care services
• Assisting with household chores and meal preparation
• Supporting clients with hoist operation and PEG feeding

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrated compassion, reliability, and empathy

• Completion or pursuit of Certificate III/IV in Aged Care, Disability, Community services, or Nursing studies (desirable)
• Experience in community or aged care sectors
• Possession of valid driver's license and a reliable insured vehicle (mandatory)
• Possession or willingness to obtain up-to-date certifications: First Aid/CPR, Police Check, NDIS registration, and Working With Children Check
