Dealer

Overview

This role focuses on centralizing, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth execution of trades involving equities, structured products, foreign exchange (FX), and bonds for clients across various segments. The dealer is instrumental in reducing corporate risk by making sure that only authorized and verified personnel handle transactions with external counterparties. Centralizing trade activities also helps in minimizing transaction expenses due to higher trade volumes and decreases the risk of unauthorized trading caused by internal errors or fraud.

Responsibilities

• Execute orders by placing them with authorized brokerage firms.
• Ensure all trading activities adhere to best business practices and established dealing guidelines.
• Report any trade conflicts or disputes promptly to the supervisor.
• Negotiate to secure optimal pricing for Structured Products and Fixed Income instruments.
• Maintain continuous communication with the Front Office regarding updates on Initial Price Offerings.

Qualifications and Skills

• Academic degree complemented by a minimum of five years' experience working on a dealing desk.
• Comfortable operating in a high-pressure, fast-moving work environment.
• Strong enthusiasm and understanding of financial markets and instruments.
• Solid knowledge of Equity, FX, Fixed Income, and Structured Products trading.
• Experienced with Bloomberg and AVALOQ trading systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Candidates holding CMFAS and CACS certifications are preferred.
