Position Overview

This role is offered on behalf of a partner company managing all applications and applicant communication. The company is seeking a Data Protection Manager based in Ireland to drive the organization’s privacy and data protection initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small privacy team by setting strategic priorities, reviewing output, and fostering professional growth.

  • Serve as the main advisor on all data protection matters and lead privacy training and awareness initiatives within the company.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Information Management, Law specialized in Data Protection, Data Science, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in data privacy, information security compliance, or a similar field.
  • Proven leadership experience with small teams.
  • Strong expertise in GDPR, CCPA, plus at least one other data privacy framework.
  • Knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance requirements within regulated industries.
  • Practical experience with privacy program implementation, DPIA execution, and handling DSR processes.
  • Familiar with privacy management systems and data governance technologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills to translate regulatory requirements into actionable business practices.
  • Professional certifications like CIPP/E, CIPM, or CIPT are advantageous.
