Role overview
AnnieMac Home Mortgage is seeking a full-time Collateral Review Underwriter in Mount Laurel, NJ. This role focuses on reviewing and underwriting collateral documentation, specifically appraisal and title reports, within the mortgage process. The position works under the guidance of the Collateral Review Underwriting Team Lead and is suited to candidates with direct experience in the mortgage industry.
Key responsibilities
- Review appraisal submissions promptly after they are received from the Collateral Valuation Department.
- Underwrite title documents in a timely manner once they are sent over from Processing.
- Coordinate with the Collateral Valuation Department and processing staff to address file-level questions or issues related to collateral valuation.
- Examine appraisals and any supplemental orders in line with appraisal review procedures.
- Assess appraisal files and supplemental orders according to AnnieMac guidelines.
- Share underwriting decisions with the relevant parties through both spoken and written communication.
- Evaluate appraisal documents for any indicators of fraud or suspicious information.
- Resolve all appraisal- and title-related underwriting conditions before loan closing.
