Role Summary
Reporting directly to supervision, the Client Services Technician will be responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and fixing technical issues arising in the distribution center involving various servers, mainframe desktops, network systems, and other IT infrastructure. The role includes supporting end-users with hardware and software concerns, installing networked equipment, and advising optimal configurations for hardware, software, and network systems.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for distribution center end-users, covering mainframe, PCs, laptops, and new technology deployments.
- Install and configure Windows workstations and related devices utilized in the distribution center.
- Conduct primary network system administration on servers as required.
- Install, certify, and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure involving hubs, wireless access points, switches, servers, laptops, desktops, printers, and communication devices.
- Utilize tracking systems to document service requests, monitor issue resolutions, identify recurring faults, research and implement bug fixes, and report unresolved issues to management.
- Collaborate with programmers to address mainframe application problems, ensuring end-user requirements are met.
- Research and recommend upgrades to improve computing systems' efficiency and performance.
- Enforce network security protocols and installation standards established by Skechers.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding repairs or replacements of covered hardware and software.
- Provide technical support for multimedia devices including TVs, satellite boxes, projectors, and public address systems.
- Troubleshoot and support peripheral devices such as printers, wired and wireless handheld scanners, and document scanners.

- Professional delivery of end-user support both in-person and via phone.

Qualifications
- Preferred educational background in a technology-related field.
- 3 to 4 years of experience providing desktop and network support within complex, multi-platform, and multi-operating system environments.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Night shift hours: Sunday through Thursday, 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM.
- Immediate alternate mention of Tuesday through Saturday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule (likely erroneous or competing shift options).
- Hourly wage: $26 to $27.
