About the Role
Join Aruma as a Support Worker and become a vital contributor to enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities and young people. This role centers on providing personalized, person-focused care, helping clients achieve daily living skills, emotional well-being, and community involvement. Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored, high-quality assistance to individuals with disabilities and youth
- Support personal care routines, mobility, and skill-building activities
- Foster meaningful relationships through mentorship and emotional support
- Encourage involvement in community and recreational activities
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to execute support plans
- Promote client rights and independence advocacy
- Maintain safe, trauma-informed spaces for young people with complex needs
Requirements
- Strong commitment to human rights and driving positive societal change
- Compassionate, empathetic, and resilient character
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Certification: Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention, or willingness to obtain
- Essential Current certifications: First Aid, CPR, Driver's License, and NDIS Worker Check, or commitment to acquire these
- Flexible availability to work 24/7 rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays
