About the Role

As a Bar Supervisor / Senior Mixologist in the Ibis and Adagio Doha hotel complex, you will be responsible for leading bar operations while crafting memorable beverage experiences. This position offers both hands-on mixology responsibilities and supervisory duties, ensuring that every guest enjoys top-quality service in keeping with brand expectations. The property is situated centrally in Doha, catering to both leisure and business guests with a wide range of international cuisines and facilities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Direct daily bar functions, guaranteeing seamless service across all shifts.
  • Uphold beverage standards and maintain orderliness and presentation in the bar area.
  • Oversee opening and closing routines, ensuring compliance with company standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Bar Manager to reach department targets and maximize revenue.
  • Deliver exceptional, personalized experiences to guests; professionally resolve requests and issues.
  • Foster strong relationships with repeat and VIP guests, ensuring loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Conceptualize and introduce new signature and seasonal cocktails, incorporating global trends.
  • Guarantee consistency in the preparation, presentation, and quality of all drinks served.
  • Lead, motivate, and instruct the bar team, conducting training in beverage knowledge and service techniques.
  • Manage inventory, track stock, control costs, and reduce waste through vigilant product oversight.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, HACCP protocols, and alcohol regulations.
  • Support an inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory workplace environment.

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • A diploma or certification in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Mixology, or a related area is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working in upscale hotels, luxury bars, or high-end restaurants.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team leadership role is beneficial.
  • Excellent understanding of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, beers, and spirits.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.
  • Flexible in scheduling, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • English proficiency required; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
