Key Responsibilities

Manage all GST compliance activities ensuring timely and accurate filing of monthly and annual returns such as GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
Perform monthly GST reconciliations between Inward Register and Form 2B to detect and rectify discrepancies with vendor submissions, ensuring proper ITC claims within legal deadlines.
Conduct three-way reconciliation of outward supplies comparing invoices, e-way bills, and IRN numbers.
Calculate reversals related to exempt supplies and determine monthly GST liabilities accurately.
Reconcile GST ledger balances from the GST portal against accounting records and record necessary adjustments promptly.
Account for monthly GST set-offs and ITC reversals appropriately.
Support audit processes by providing reconciliations between financial statements and GST returns and supplying relevant GST documentation, invoices, and backups.
Coordinate with manufacturing locations and regional offices regarding GST matters.
Handle ISD vendor invoice reconciliations with GSTR-6A, compute ISD distributions, and ensure timely filing of GSTR-6 monthly returns.
Manage allocation of shared costs incurred at the Head Office across multiple GST registrations.
Lead automation efforts to improve processes such as vendor reconciliations and outward supply verification and contribute to implementing GST software and tools.
Oversee issues around Input Tax Credit (ITC) accumulation and liquidation including preparing refund applications.
Provide diagnostic reviews of GST compliance to identify gaps, potential risks, and improvement opportunities in current processes and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant experience specifically in GST compliance management.
Preference for candidates with industry exposure in FMCG or pharmaceutical sectors.
Experience range: 1 to 2 years.

Required Skills

Practical knowledge in filing GST returns, conducting reconciliations, and handling audit notices.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with GST-related software, especially DigiGST, and SAP systems.
