Role Purpose
This position supports the Head of Security in safeguarding company properties, personnel, materials, and information by implementing security policies and procedures designed to protect physical and intellectual assets and prevent losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee security operations during assigned shifts, including management of guards, supervisors, CCTV monitoring, access control, and patrol teams across the campus.
- Ensure optimal deployment and coverage of security personnel across locations, directing operations through a central command system.
- Respond promptly as the primary contact for incidents such as theft, fire alarms, medical emergencies, intrusions, protests, or suspicious activities, stabilizing situations and coordinating emergency responses with relevant departments.
- Manage access control to permit only authorized individuals, vehicles, and materials to enter or exit premises, regulating gates, visitor systems, vendor and material movements, parking, and traffic.
- Monitor CCTV and surveillance technology for incident prevention, maintain evidence, and coordinate with teams during events; ensure maintenance and upgrades of security equipment.
- Implement and enforce security standard operating procedures (SOPs), fire safety regulations, badge protocols, parking norms, and statutory compliance; identify risks and drive improvements.
- Maintain detailed reports including shift logs, incident reports, patrol records, attendance, and documentation of evidence and witness details; ensure smooth handover between shifts.
- Lead and motivate a large security team ranging from 50 to over 200 personnel; ensure training, readiness, and proper deployment for effective resource use.
- Develop intelligence and vigilance initiatives; maintain partnerships with government and intelligence agencies; assist investigations.
- Perform administrative duties related to security operations; support organizational compliance and uphold the company’s reputation.
- Available and prepared to work shifts and handle additional tasks as assigned by management.
Candidate Profile and Skills
- Graduation required; prior experience handling corporate building security is preferable.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in corporate or industrial security operations.
- Strong leadership qualities with excellent command and people management skills.
- Highly skilled in incident management and emergency response techniques.
- Familiarity with CCTV, security automation, access control, and alarm systems.
- Effective communication skills, including clear escalation and crisis communication.
- Knowledgeable about statutory regulations, audits, and investigative processes in security.
- Skillful in detailed reporting, documentation, and evidence handling.
- Physically and mentally prepared to work under high pressure and night shifts.
- Ability to coordinate smoothly with cross-functional teams and levels.
