About the Role and Company
Join Minor Hotels at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara as an Assistant Concierge Manager. Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the entire Concierge department.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise the team of Concierge Agents.
- Adjust and approve staff schedules based on predicted business demands.
- Provide constructive feedback and seize opportunities for team training and coaching.
- Support and sometimes conduct training activities for staff development.
- Ensure team is well-informed about hotel facilities, promotions, local events, and nearby attractions to provide accurate guest information.
- Serve as a hotel ambassador and respond effectively to diverse guest requests, including challenging and unusual situations.
- Develop and maintain a reliable network of service providers to fulfill guest needs efficiently.
- Keep availability of printed materials like city maps, brochures, and restaurant guides for guest use.
- Coordinate guest requests relating to dining, entertainment, tours, transport, healthcare, childcare, and other external services.
- Address guest inquiries promptly and positively.
- Ensure all concierge endorsements are followed through and completed.
- Manage handling, delivery, and storage of luggage, messages, and parcels efficiently.
- Maintain financial transparency and responsibility within the team.
- Adhere to financial controls and cost management policies.
- Manage documentation and filing of bills and receipts daily.
- Oversee concierge transactions ensuring alignment with company interests.
- Monitor proper use of hotel systems and equipment.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment.
- Create a service and results-oriented workplace culture.
- Follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures including safety guidelines.
- Market all hotel services, offers, and operating hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest service.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal; additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized, results-focused, adaptable with ability to perform under pressure.
- Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy with high integrity.
- Membership in Les Clefs D'Or is required.
- Minimum of one year experience in a supervisory role within customer service or equivalent.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and guest requests effectively.
- Proficient in Windows-based applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Team player who works well cooperatively with colleagues.
- Ability to maintain calmness and courtesy while addressing guest needs.
