Work Schedule and Location
This full-time position is based onsite at the Kerikeri branch in Northland, New Zealand, with working hours from Tuesday to Saturday totaling 42.5 hours per week.
Role Summary
As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will report directly to the Branch Manager and act as their representative on the shop floor, driving sales initiatives, maintaining high customer service standards, and supporting a positive team culture. Your responsibilities will include motivating staff, managing retail and trade sales transactions, fostering strong customer relationships, and ensuring branch presentation and compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
- Support the Branch Manager in achieving sales targets and enhancing overall store performance.
- Lead and encourage staff daily to build a collaborative and motivated team environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service by providing knowledgeable and accurate product advice.
- Conduct retail and trade sales processing efficiently.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Maintain the branch's presentation to a high standard.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and safety procedures to promote a secure workplace.
- Perform physical activities such as lifting, bending, and climbing as part of daily duties.
Candidate Profile
- At least two years of experience in retail or a related trade setting.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about automotive products.
- Strong communication skills adaptable to various audiences.
- Positive demeanor and team-oriented approach.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards.
