The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the American University of Sharjah (AUS), within the College of Engineering, is seeking applications for an adjunct faculty position starting in the Fall Semester of 2027. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer engineering or a closely related discipline, with a proven track record in teaching. Preference will be given to those familiar with the American higher education system.

Teaching Responsibilities

Applicants must complete an application form and submit supporting documents including a cover letter, an extensive curriculum vitae containing a teaching statement, and contact information for at least three references prepared to provide recommendation letters. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the positions are filled, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.

The CSE Department hosts approximately 850 undergraduate and 30 graduate students supported by 25 faculty members and 11 laboratory instructors. The campus community is highly international, representing over 90 nationalities. The department offers multiple programs: Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science, Master of Science degrees in Computer Engineering and Machine Learning, plus a joint PhD program in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
