Job description

Job Overview

We are looking for committed and energetic finance professionals who excel in delivering outstanding customer service and devising inventive solutions for our guests. The Accounts Supervisor - Receivable role involves overseeing the city ledger, preparing invoices, and validating purchase slips with accuracy and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transfer daily city ledger data from the Front Office system to the Back Office Accounts Receivable module.
  • Verify transferred totals against city ledger folios.
  • Examine city ledger folios along with supporting documents such as charge slips and local purchase orders.
  • Follow up as needed to obtain billing instructions, LPOs, and other supporting documentation.
  • Prepare invoices and secure approval signatures from the Director of Finance or Financial Controller.
  • Dispatch original invoices with support documents to customers; maintain copies in customer and sequential files.
  • Calculate commissions related to credit card payments received.
  • Issue receipts for cash, cheque payments, and direct credit card payments to the bank.
  • Deliver all cash receipts to the General Cashier accompanied by receipt copies.
  • Prepare and submit employee city ledger summaries to the Paymaster by the 25th of each month.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in hotel management or accounting is required.
  • Minimum of one year of prior experience in a hotel environment.
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills along with computer literacy.
  • Familiarity with Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is advantageous.
