About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transport requests by gathering and clarifying requirements to recommend appropriate transport solutions.
• Source and negotiate with carrier partners to obtain competitive pricing and select optimal transport options considering vehicle type, route, lead times, and service criteria.
• Respond promptly and reliably to customer needs through clear communication and standardized procedures.
• Calculate pricing and margins accurately to develop competitive transport quotes for customers.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all transport requests, pricing, and orders using internal systems.
• Track carrier performance, provide constructive feedback, and support continual transport network enhancements.
• Build and nurture robust relationships with logistics providers and external partners.
• Identify repetitive challenges and collaborate on creating standardized operational improvements and processes.
• Support the advancement and automation of procurement workflows by leveraging digital platforms and AI-driven tools.
• Exercise proactive decision-making to foster growth and efficiency within transportation operations.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in transport logistics, freight forwarding, dispatching, procurement, or related fields.
• Capability to efficiently manage multiple transport requests while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation skills and confidence in engaging with suppliers and customers.
• Understanding of pricing structures, margin calculations, and commercial metrics.
• Proficiency in digital tools including CRM, spreadsheets, transportation management software, and automation technologies.
• Openness to adopting new software and technology advancements.
• Fluency in German with strong written and verbal communication; good command of English; other languages advantageous.
• Dependable, proactive, solution-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
