About the Role

NHS Borders is pleased to offer an engaging 12-month fixed-term training opportunity for registered Nurses or Midwives to become Specialist Community Public Health Nurses (Health Visitors). The role is based in the Northern Borders region and involves a commitment of 36 hours per week. This position is exclusively available to current NHS Scotland employees.

Role Overview

As a Trainee Health Visitor, you will enrol in a postgraduate SCPHN (Health Visiting) program at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. You will acquire skills to implement the Universal Health Visiting Pathway, supporting children aged 0-5 and their families to promote health and wellbeing.
