Job description

Position Overview

This role involves delivering logistical and technical assistance such as minor repairs to furniture and military infrastructure, conducting regular inspections of roofs and drainage systems, and equipping workshops and buildings with appropriate safety signage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs on furniture and military infrastructure.
  • Install correct safety signs in various workshops and buildings.
  • Conduct visual inspections of roofs and drainage systems.
  • Inspect fire safety equipment and other safety installations like escape ladders.
  • Identify problems during malfunctions and coordinate with specialized services, providing necessary support.

Candidate Profile

  • Must have completed compulsory education and be under 25 years old at the time of hiring.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with flexibility and customer focus.
  • Willingness to work in a duty shift system.
  • Open to attending brief training courses relevant to the role.
  • Basic knowledge in woodworking and masonry.

Career Opportunities

Following a positive evaluation, the one-year fixed-term contract may be renewed annually until the candidate reaches 26 years old.

During your tenure, you will have opportunities to:

  • Pass tests to qualify for a permanent civil service career within a Federal Public Service (requiring at least upper secondary education).
  • Attempt entrance exams for military positions.
  • Apply for roles as a military reservist in a direct voluntary supervision scheme.

Training and Onboarding

Initial weeks include guidance from a colleague to familiarize you with the operations of the unit.
