Role Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator will manage replenishment activities for BevMo's supply chain, ensuring inventory purchasing supports multiple departments effectively. This position entails collaboration with internal teams like Merchandising and Operations, as well as external vendors and distributors, to align with business and assortment goals. Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities are vital to thrive in this dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Work Arrangement
This hybrid role requires attendance at the Concord, CA office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during regular business hours.
Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of business operations, supply chain processes, and workflows.
- Handle SKU replenishment purchasing for assigned segments, directly interfacing with suppliers to stock BevMo and regional stores.
- Analyze sales data, inventory levels, in-stock status, damage and expiration metrics, turnover, and vendor fill rates to create effective weekly item plans.
- Implement inventory management strategies tailored to geographic territory demands considering volume and business objectives.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in cooperation with internal staff and external partners; communicate relevant inventory and product flow issues.
- Assess and decide purchase quantities for new, allocated, and continuing SKUs.
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Merchandising, Logistics, and Operations teams as an essential contributor.
- Generate and analyze inventory management and exception reports for accuracy and improvements.
- Serve as the key internal contact for inventory-related questions and issues.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate inventory representation throughout the supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or comparable experience.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in Merchandise Planning, Inventory Planning, Supply Chain, or Allocation roles.
- Proficient computer skills with strong Excel capabilities required.
- Experience in the Alcohol Beverage industry is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and accountability for assigned business areas.
- Ability to respond rapidly and efficiently with a strong sense of urgency.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
