Overview

Alrewas Royal British Legion Club Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Steward to help run a welcoming, community-oriented club serving members, veterans, and visitors. This role is central to the smooth daily operation of the bar and clubhouse, as well as the delivery of a positive experience for everyone who uses the venue.

What the role involves

• Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the bar and clubhouse
• Providing a consistently high level of customer service
• Supervising, encouraging, and coordinating bar staff and volunteers
• Handling stock control and looking after cellar operations
• Keeping the premises clean and maintaining strong hygiene standards
• Working in line with licensing rules and health and safety requirements
• Assisting with club events and entertainment activities

What the club is looking for

• A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
• Previous experience in the licensed trade is preferred
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• A Personal Licence would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory
