Overview
Alrewas Royal British Legion Club Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Steward to help run a welcoming, community-oriented club serving members, veterans, and visitors. This role is central to the smooth daily operation of the bar and clubhouse, as well as the delivery of a positive experience for everyone who uses the venue.
What the role involves
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of the bar and clubhouse
- Providing a consistently high level of customer service
- Supervising, encouraging, and coordinating bar staff and volunteers
- Handling stock control and looking after cellar operations
- Keeping the premises clean and maintaining strong hygiene standards
- Working in line with licensing rules and health and safety requirements
- Assisting with club events and entertainment activities
What the club is looking for
- A friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Previous experience in the licensed trade is preferred
- Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- A Personal Licence would be an advantage, though it is not mandatory
