About the Team and Role

The Corporate Information System (CIS) team at ByteDance is dedicated to building advanced information systems that support the company's diverse business operations and organizational efficiency. The team is responsible for governance around security, privacy, and compliance, ensuring sustained and secure growth. CIS spans various domains including human resources, finance, legal, procurement, workflows, and workplace solutions, with ongoing efforts in privacy, security, and AIGC innovation incubation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of compliance data centers with a focus on cost minimization, performance enhancement, and system reliability.
• Ensure the availability and stability of ByteDance's compliance data centers and guarantee the service-level agreements for associated core PnS products.
• Engage in designing, developing, and refining stability-focused products aimed at increasing efficiency and robustness.
• Analyze existing architectures to identify and mitigate risks related to applications, recommending or implementing solutions to minimize those risks.
• Develop and enhance monitoring systems, set up alerting mechanisms, create downgrade and contingency plans, conduct drills and incident reviews to improve operational stability.
• Bring enthusiasm for architecture and cutting-edge technology by continuously refining operational and maintenance protocols, emergency response plans, and overall service quality improvement; actively incorporate new technological advancements to benefit teams and business units.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, along with more than three years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong foundational knowledge of computer software; proficiency with Linux operating systems, storage systems, network IO, and related principles.
• Practical experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, or C++.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Demonstrated skill in analyzing and resolving issues within distributed computing systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to excel within a fast-moving work environment.
• Strong product intuition and well-developed system design capabilities.
• Systematic and structured approach to thinking, robust problem-solving skills, and a high degree of ownership.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems, especially in SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments.
