About the Role
We seek a highly detail-oriented SEO Account Manager to lead and manage local SEO campaigns tailored for home-service businesses like plumbers, electricians, and roofers across the US and Canada. This client-facing position requires ownership of SEO strategy, directing web design efforts, and acting as the primary contact responsible for boosting qualified leads and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive SEO strategies for 20 to 28 local service clients.
- Onboard clients, establish clear objectives focused on lead generation and revenue growth beyond mere rankings.
- Oversee web design and conversion rate optimization using WordPress and Elementor, coordinating with developers, designers, and copywriters.
- Lead execution of Local SEO tasks, including Google Business Profile optimization, on-page SEO, internal linking, content creation briefs, and local backlink acquisition.
- Utilize tools such as Ahrefs, Local Dominator, Nightwatch, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and proprietary internal software to monitor performance and identify new growth opportunities.
- Conduct monthly strategic calls and provide weekly performance updates summarizing activities, changes, and upcoming plans.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures while proactively recommending process improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with the fulfillment team through clear and prompt communication using Slack and internal platforms.
- Participate in training with senior team members to learn company playbooks, reporting systems, and client communication protocols.
Requirements
- 2 to 4+ years of practical SEO experience, particularly in local SEO for service-based businesses.
- Proficiency in WordPress and Elementor, capable of briefing developers and performing basic website edits independently.
- Regular use of SEO and analytics tools including Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics 4.
- Strong knowledge of Google Business Profile optimization, local citation management, and local link-building strategies.
- Near-native English speaking and writing skills, with the ability to lead client meetings monthly.
- Ability to clearly explain technical SEO concepts to non-technical business owners.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously without errors.
- Dependability with punctuality and responsiveness during North American business hours.
- Comfortable working quickly, taking full ownership of tasks, and following well-defined processes.
Compensation
- Annual salary ranging from 70000 to 80000 CAD
