Senior Full Stack Developer (TypeScript)

About the Role

This is a remote contract opportunity involving approximately 15 hours per week. The selected candidate will contribute as a Senior Software Engineer focused on supporting an innovative AI training project. While prior AI experience is not mandatory, this role demands advanced software engineering skills to address and validate intricate programming challenges aimed at enhancing cutting-edge AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design authentic software environments tailored for AI system evaluations.
• Troubleshoot complex software applications and introduce new features as needed.
• Refactor existing code to enhance both maintainability and scalability of software systems.
• Improve software and system performance through optimization efforts.
• Produce high-caliber reference implementations and validation processes.
• Work collaboratively with globally distributed engineering teams to uphold high technical standards.

Requirements

• Demonstrated strong skills in one or more languages such as Python, C++, Java, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
• Comprehensive understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
• Proven experience in debugging, developing new features, and performing code refactoring.
• Expertise in performance tuning and architecting scalable software solutions.
• Exceptional communication abilities and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Capability to operate independently within a remote work setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background working with large-scale distributed systems.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts is an advantage but not a requirement.
• Previous experience in conducting code reviews and adherence to software engineering best practices.
