Senior Finance Manager

Overview

The Senior Finance Manager role entails overseeing the organization's financial operations including planning, reporting, budgeting, and accounting activities. This leadership position ensures adherence to financial regulations and company standards while guiding senior management with strategic financial insights. The role is pivotal in supervising financial performance, managing liquidity, and enabling business growth through detailed financial analysis, risk mitigation, and optimizing operational processes.

Key Duties

• Direct the company's processes for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Compile and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements along with management reports.
• Track financial results, identify deviations, and suggest corrective methods to meet business goals.
• Oversee accounting tasks to guarantee accuracy, compliance, and prompt financial disclosures.
• Administer cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management to meet operational and strategic requirements.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS, regional regulations, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
• Build financial models and support decisions related to strategic projects and investments.
• Lead the budgeting cycle and perform routine financial forecasting across departments.
• Work with department leaders to drive cost efficiencies and enhance financial outcomes.
• Coordinate external audits, tax submissions, and maintain productive relations with auditors, banks, and regulators.
• Assess financial risks and establish robust internal controls and risk management practices.
• Mentor and develop the finance team promoting excellence and ongoing improvement.
• Provide executive leadership with relevant financial data, KPIs, and strategic advice.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Postgraduate degree (MBA or Finance) is advantageous.
• Professional accounting or finance certification such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or SOCPA highly desirable.
• At least 8 to 10 years of progressive finance experience including a minimum of 3 years in leadership positions.
• Deep understanding of financial standards (IFRS), budgeting, tax regulations, financial analysis, and internal control systems.
• Experience working with ERP platforms like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
