About ZDF and Role Overview

ZDF - Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen is a public broadcasting institution located in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The organization is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor (Revisor*in) to contribute to the advancement of its operations through targeted internal audits.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform risk-based internal audits focusing on processes, systems, and controls.
• Analyze and evaluate business processes, risks, and internal control systems (IKS).
• Identify areas for improvement and develop practical recommendations.
• Analyze transactions and data to detect irregularities.
• Participate in special audits and investigations concerning suspected fraud cases.
• Advise departments on implementing improvement measures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completed degree in economics, law, or equivalent qualification;
• Several years of experience in auditing, accounting, compliance, or related fields, preferably with fraud investigation exposure;
• Strong knowledge of designing and auditing internal control systems (IKS);
• Experience with modern auditing tools, data analytics, and AI-supported evaluation methods;
• Analytical thinking, independent, structured work ethic, and strong risk awareness;
• High integrity and discretion combined with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
