About ZDF and Role Overview
ZDF - Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen is a public broadcasting institution located in Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The organization is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor (Revisor*in) to contribute to the advancement of its operations through targeted internal audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform risk-based internal audits focusing on processes, systems, and controls.
- Analyze and evaluate business processes, risks, and internal control systems (IKS).
- Identify areas for improvement and develop practical recommendations.
- Analyze transactions and data to detect irregularities.
- Participate in special audits and investigations concerning suspected fraud cases.
- Advise departments on implementing improvement measures.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Completed degree in economics, law, or equivalent qualification;
- Several years of experience in auditing, accounting, compliance, or related fields, preferably with fraud investigation exposure;
- Strong knowledge of designing and auditing internal control systems (IKS);
- Experience with modern auditing tools, data analytics, and AI-supported evaluation methods;
- Analytical thinking, independent, structured work ethic, and strong risk awareness;
- High integrity and discretion combined with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
